Likening David Sirota to Glenn Greenwald was a big stretch for the both of you to do -- and a pretty ungenerous read of this film (which is certainly flawed) and of him as a person.

Also, you both kind of conflated politics Twitter and film Twitter, which seems to be happening a lot with people discussing this film. Politics Twitter has been much kinder to the film than film Twitter (who mostly don't know who Sirota is) has been, for some reason. This movie has been polarizing for some complicated reasons and it's interesting that few people seem to be able to have their finger on the pulse of why that is.

Critics not liking a popular movie. When was the last time that happened?

Haven't watched it yet, but it has been on the list for awhile. Will keep my antennae up for critical anti-intellectualism and the filmmakers misplaced satire as I read the reviews after I've formed my own opinions..
