I recognise the inaccuracies, and bits that are stupid, but I basically cannot get enough of Sorkin, even the bits that people find mawkish. I like that aircraft scene in The Newsroom. Completely fall for it. And I like the scenes set to Coldplay or whatever as well.
The bits I of say The Newsroom that annoy me a little are like the second season coming down to the faked interview with the general. The interview makes no sense. You get one quote in it that's taken out of context, but if that was being alleged, you couldn't possibly only have one quote. There would have been a massive number of follow up questions to ask once that quote was given. The meeting about whether to publish would have been full of people asking: why didn't you ask him X, why didn't you ask him Y, and Z. This simply didn't make sense, even accepting the premises of the universe.

I think similar. Mostly: if this really happened, would that be cool? Yes, yes it would.
