It's the realization that this a multi decade process at time when we don't have decades. Bernie was the cheat code that may have been able to create a viable timeline to not cook the planet. The nihilism is a not an illogical choice, but its still wrong. The RBG fuck up and it's implications coupled with the democrats natural inclination to be huge fucking pussies checked some people out. Chapo being 2 hours of catharsis and jokes is not the problem. People going after allies in congress is a huge problem. They need support and time to build a power structure. The left in congress does need to make a stand on something..kill a bill or two to show supporters and party they're not fucking around.
Given the narrow Dem majority in the House, the left can kill any legislation they want any time they want. But they run the serious risk of making the whole Democratic caucus radioactive, just like the 'Freedom Caucus' did for the Republicans a few years ago. Better to stay inside the tent pissing out, as the saying goes...
Quite a delusional take on the situation! Force the vote is the strategy to go with because the democratic party is not your friend and doesn't do shit unless it is forced. So far the elected progressives in Congress have rolled over on everything and it is literally shameful to see Bernie give his "good friend Joe" a pass. You can't fix a broken system and broken party from the inside by playing nice. We should confront the dem leadership at every step because they are more than happy to stab us all in the back for a few extra corporate bucks
If you didn't see it, then the only thing I can think of is that I must have accidentally hit "delete" after posting it. I'll do my best to paraphrase myself in a new post.
I don't know when this was recorded, but much of the we-thought progress Klion describes has turned out to be illusion. On very small, specific, visible points, yes, the administration responded - or seemed to. But are we actually vaccinating the world yet? Are we settling more refugees? Have we stopped the horrific practices on the border generally? Plus so much of what absolutely needs to be done has no such obvious pressure point. "Act like you're the President and responsible for what happens whether you like it or not" is not exactly a social media rallying point.

was my comment removed? I had criticized Hillary Clinton as being as responsible for a divided party as AOC and Sanders.
I didn't see that post. Can you post again?
